A bundle of sticks
A Bundle of Sticks
Once upon a time, three neighbors lived in a village. Each of them had a field, but they all faced the same problem—their crops were infested with pests and wilting.
Every day, they tried different ways to save their crops.
• The first farmer used a scarecrow to keep pests away.
• The second farmer sprayed pesticides on his field.
• The third farmer built a fence around his field.
However, none of their methods worked.
The Village Head’s Lesson
Seeing their struggles, the village head—an old and wise farmer—called them for a meeting.
He gave each farmer a single stick and asked them to break it. The farmers easily snapped the sticks in half.
Then, the old farmer gave each of them a bundle of three sticks and asked them to break it. This time, no one could break the bundle.
The village head smiled and said,
“Alone, you are weak. But together, you are strong. If you work as a team, you will succeed.”
Strength in Unity
The three farmers understood the lesson. Instead of working separately, they combined their resources and helped each other.
Together, they successfully got rid of the pests and saved their crops.
Moral of the Story 📖
➡ There is strength in unity.
➡ Teamwork leads to success.
