Sonu, Monu, and the Importance of Brushing Teeth


It was a lovely morning. As always, Sonu and Monu got up late and started playing with their toys.


Mummy’s Warning


Mummy: “Sonu, Monu, first go and brush your teeth, then eat breakfast. After that, you can play as much as you like.”


But Sonu and Monu ignored their mother.


Sonu: “What will happen if we don’t brush for just one day?”


Mummy (angrily): “Go and brush your teeth! Did you both hear me?”


Hearing their mummy’s loud voice, Sonu and Monu quickly got up, brushed their teeth, ate breakfast, and then went outside to play.


Skipping Brushing at Night


That night, after dinner, Sonu and Monu ate ice cream and chocolates. When mummy reminded them to brush their teeth before bed, they didn’t listen and went to sleep without brushing.


Grandma saw everything and thought, I must teach them a lesson—but in my own way!


Grandma’s Clever Plan


The next morning, Grandma prepared breakfast for both kids.




Grandma: “Sonu, Monu, look! I made your favorite pudding for breakfast. You can eat as much as you like! And don’t worry about brushing your teeth today—it’s okay to skip it for just one day.”


Sonu and Monu were thrilled! Not only did they get to eat their favorite pudding, but Grandma herself told them they didn’t need to brush their teeth!


Happily, they started eating… but suddenly—


Ahhh!


Both Sonu and Monu started crying.





Grandma: “What happened, my dear ones? Why are you crying?”


Sonu & Monu: “Our teeth are hurting! What do we do now? It’s paining so badly!”


Grandma smiled and said, “See what happens when you don’t brush your teeth? If you go to bed without brushing, food stays stuck in your teeth, and germs attack them. That’s why your teeth hurt!”


Sonu and Monu realized their mistake.


Sonu & Monu: “Sorry, Grandma! From now on, we will brush our teeth every morning and night without fail!


Grandma patted their heads and smiled.
