Sonu learn the lesson

Sonu Learns a Lesson

One evening, Sonu’s friends came over to visit him, but they didn’t stay long. After chatting for a while, they left quickly.

Sonu and Grandma’s Conversation

Grandma: “Your friends didn’t stay long, Sonu?”

Sonu: “Oh, no! They were just talking about how much fun they had today pulling Pratap’s leg.”

Grandma: “Pratap… isn’t he the new boy who joined your school?”

Sonu: “Yes. He is the smallest among all of us. Everybody is taller than him, so it’s easy to pick on him.”

Grandma: “Hmmm… just like the ant, isn’t it?”

Sonu: “The ant?”

Grandma: “Yes! Let me tell you a story…”

The Tiny Ant and the Mighty Elephant

Once upon a time, in a dense jungle, lived a huge elephant. Because he was much bigger than all the other animals, he always troubled them.

In the same jungle, there was a hardworking family of ants. They were tiny but always busy collecting food for their colony.

One day, as they were marching along, the big mean elephant saw them and decided to have some fun. He sucked up water with his trunk and splashed it all over them!

The Ant Stands Up

Ant: “Hey! What’s the matter with you? Why do you keep troubling others?”

Elephant: “Oh, shut up, you tiny ant! One more word out of your mouth, and I’ll crush you under my feet!”

The little ant had no choice but to keep quiet and walk away.

That evening, another ant in the colony said, “You shouldn’t argue with the elephant. He’s very ill-tempered and extremely strong. He could crush you in an instant.”

The tiny ant thought for a moment and said, “Hmm… something needs to be done about this.”

The Ant Teaches the Elephant a Lesson

The next morning, as the ants were heading to work, they saw the elephant fast asleep under a tree. The tiny ant saw this as an opportunity to teach the elephant a lesson. Quietly, it climbed onto the elephant and made its way to his trunk. Then, it crawled inside and started biting him!

Elephant: “Aaaah! That hurts! Stop it!”

The elephant trumpeted in pain, shaking his head, flapping his ears, and even rolling on the ground, but nothing worked. He couldn’t stop the tiny ant from biting him inside his trunk.

Elephant: “Please stop! I understand now. Aaaah! Stop it, please!”

Ant: “Well, I hope now you understand how others feel when you hurt them.”

Elephant: “Yes, I do! I promise I will never trouble anyone again. Please, forgive me!”

The little ant stopped biting and crawled out of the elephant’s trunk.

From that day on, the mighty elephant never bullied anyone in the jungle again.

Back to Sonu and Grandma

Grandma: “So, Sonu, what did you learn from this story?”

Sonu: “We shouldn’t make fun of Pratap just because he is smaller than us.”

Grandma: “I’m glad you realized that, Sonu.”

Sonu: “Tomorrow, I’ll apologize to Pratap and make sure my friends do the same too! Thank you, Grandma, for teaching me this lesson.”

Moral of the Story:

✨ Never trouble or make fun of others just because they are smaller or weaker than you. ✨
